Bridging School and Home Through Technology

I would like to thank all of you for your support in helping me to recreate components of an in-person classroom for my remote learners. The iCodis Document Reader has enabled me to enrich the hands-on teaching and learning experience for my class. The students are benefitting from remote learning via the implementation and use of the document reader.

In "Bridging School and Home Through Technology", my students have been able to further their understanding of the basic mathematical concepts of money. Their learning proficiency towards the understanding of the values of pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters has real world implications. Students are also developing their ability to understand equal values of coins, money, and its uses. Children are developing their understanding of the cost of things as well as strengthening their grade-level proficiency of addition and subtraction concepts.

I am better equipped to strengthen my delivery of instruction with the document reader. The use of various models, charts, and literature in teaching remotely is supported by infusing this technology into my lessons and provides my students with more visually stimulating learning opportunities.”
