I would like to acquire 70 copies of the book “This Book Is Anti-Racist: 20 Lessons on How to Wake Up, Take Action, and Do The Work” by Tiffany Jewell to use with my 6th graders. With this set of books, along with online videos and Newsela articles addressing the recent events of #BLM, I’d like to expose my students to race issues that are very much central to the development of U.S. history and allow them to be part of that narrative so that in the future they can continue the anti-racist work as citizens and leaders of this country.
