In the tech-driven world of 2020, it is clear that our students love engaging in quality digital content. We all know students are near obsessed with watching their favorite Twitch streamers, Youtubers, and Netflix shows. At times, it feels like our students are so enthralled with this content, that they can't take their eyes of the screen! So just what is it about these platforms that hold our students' attention? How can we incorporate the same attention grabbing elements in our remote lessons? In the end, what holds our students' attention is the quality of the lesson, and in the world of remote learning -- that includes the quality of our audio and video presentation. With tools like a high definition webcam for video, a quality microphone for audio, and a monitor and wireless keyboard for quick and easy navigation while presenting, our students will become just as engaged in the remote lesson as they are when watching their favorite Youtuber or streamer. The built-in tech in the school-provided laptops can't compare with Netflix or Hulu, but with the right tools, we can capture our students' imaginations and engage them in lessons in a remote learning model. Please, help me bring engaging quality lessons to my students when we return to school remotely this fall!
