"Good teaching must be slow enough so that it is not confusing, and fast enough so that it is not boring." Sidney J. Harris
As a teacher, it is my duty to help my students see the bigger picture throughout the curriculum.
I want to start giving my students more opportunities to explore financial literacy and math in our classroom. Throughout my teaching career I have collected a few hands-on engaging math materials such as Grab and Go money games, money playing cards, pretend cash register and other math activities. Usually, students have to wait until they are finish with their daily MUST DO assignments to I pull these games out from the cupboards onto the floor so they can access all the math activities. This causes students to losing valuable exploring time among their classmates.
To make things easier, I am requesting an all purpose teaching cart that is the perfect height for my students. We can place our math materials in the baskets and students can access them quick and easy. In addition, I hang up a pocket chart to hold math terms to help students practice talking about financial literacy with their classmates.
Thank you in advance for your donation and your support in helping my students in their learning.
