Our school is starting the year in-person so we will be using all of these wonderful resources right in our classroom for social distancing purposes and as individual supplies where we would have otherwise shared in years past. We are also expected to take technology devices and some supplies home each night in case of any sudden changes. With this in mind, some of the supplies requested will allow for students to have access to these things at home as well. Items such as play dough and the stylus pens will give our kindergarteners the ability to continue building fine motor grip and strength while still working on iPads and the other modifications this year has brought us. Building relationships, keeping students engaged, building their confidence, and getting each child excited about learning are my top priorities. All of the books chosen in this project are about the needs of our community. My students need lots of love, support, and a sense of security. That is exactly what they will be getting.
