An organized, welcoming, and comfortable classroom environment allows students to feel safe and take charge of their learning. During independent work times, my students can choose a location in the classroom that works for them. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them. I have noticed amazing differences in my students when they are in an environment they enjoy. They almost always make good choices, are more engaged, and get more work completed! My students are noticeably more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers when they enjoy the space they are learning in. The products that I have selected will help my students by creating a comfortable learning environment. The seating pads, stools, and lap desks will allow students to sit comfortably in an alternate location other than their desk within the classroom. They are lightweight and can be easily used in many areas of the classroom. The divider wall and rug will be used to create a safe place for students to time some time for themselves. The mirror and sticky quote will also be used in the safe place, as well as, used in SEL lessons to teach positive self-talk and image! The highlighters, crayons, and dry erase markers will ensure my students have all the supplies they need to have a successful school year. The storage bookcase and storage cubes will help teach students the value of organization and keep our classroom tidy!! The dry erase table spots will give students an engaging method to write and complete work! I have seen how a safe, organized, and comfortable classroom can positively affect my students' work and demeanor and hope that these items will help us grow even more!
