My fifth graders come from a variety of cultural backgrounds and many receive free-and-reduced lunch due to their family income. Many of my students come to school hungry and leave school not knowing where their next meal will come from. This project will help ease their minds and feed their stomachs and minds, removing the obstacle of hunger from their daily routine. By eliminating their hunger from their day, they will be more focused to learn in the classroom. These snacks are healthy and nutritious, yet still loved by my students!
