Blended Learning: Combining Traditional and Online learning Experience

Funded Dec 3, 2019

"Technology in the Classroom." Yes. In the right place at the right time. It motivates students' learning in several ways. Technological devices such as hp chrome and headphones that you donated to my class facilitate independent learning. Students use them to listen to read aloud passages while looking at the words on the screen. They are also great for individualized activities, as students can focus on their work while listening to their favorite work-time music.

The most exciting part of the new product is educational games. My students and I are addicted to Kahoot, one of such games. Students feel happy choosing pseudonyms during the game and also seeing their scores on the smart-board. As a teacher, I use the game to evaluate my students' understanding of the skills taught. It gives me an accurate picture because I see each child critically thinking before responding to the questions. Everyone wants to be at the top of the score list.

Are there particular students who have especially warmed to this new technology, and how so? YES. Because they are rewarded with time to play their favorite games upon completion of all tasks, and compliance with all class rules. Thumbs up! These devices curb classroom management issues, as well.”

With gratitude,

Mrs. S.
