  • Color Our World

    Funded May 10, 2024

Thank you Anonymous Classroom donor for your generosity and support in bringing the Color Our World project to life.

The color printer ink is actively being used to create differentiated and engaging content area tasks and activities for our diverse group of learners. The colored ink has allowed me to create vivid classroom anchor charts, binder reference sheets, and activities that have helped the students with real-life generalization. The color printed notes and activities have not only captured our students' attention, but the colored notes have kept them engaged for an extended period. The colored products are truly helping to enhance our students' learning experience.

Each one of you is a true hero for supporting equity schools and the students who attend them. We are profoundly grateful to you.”

  • Potpourri of Classroom Needs

    Funded Dec 6, 2024

I am overjoyed, humbled, and deeply grateful for your generous donation. Thank you for your tremendous support of both teachers and students. My students are so deserving, and I look forward to using the resources provided to create memorable, meaningful, and engaging experiences for my students. The keyboards provide a more comfortable and precise way for students who need support when typing, reducing errors compared to using the Chromebook touchscreen. The IXL workbooks, alongside the IXL digital platform, are offering a way for students to practice concepts and foundational skills. The briefcases are being used as a protective space to carry the Chromebook, safeguarding it from damage during transit while also offering organized compartments to store other essential items like the student's charger. We look forward to utilizing the receipt book when engaging in consumer math tasks.”

  • Operating Room Classroom Transformation

    Funded May 10, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donation of room transformation supplies. You brought learning alive. The supplies I was able to purchase allowed me to transform our classroom into an operating room. Once the students were equipped with their gowns, gloves, mask, id badges, syringe pens and patients, they entered the operating room with an increase in motivation and great anticipation. They were excited to learned about the task for the day and apply their skills to "treat" their patients. The operating room transformation allowed me to increase the academic rigor and all students rose to the challenge. Students actively applied their mathematical problem-solving skills to treat their patients in four different operating rooms. Students collaborated, took on leadership roles, worked as a community and persevered throughout this experience. Many teachers came in to see the medical transformation and inquired how to bring this learning alive in their classrooms.

This memorable experience was made possible because of your generosity and support. The supplies provided through your donation will serve many students to come for many years. Since our operating room transformation, we have had two other transformations and many more to come. Students come in each day full of excitement looking forward to the next transformation. Your support plays an invaluable part in these efforts and is opening doors to greater opportunities for our future leaders of tomorrow. Thank you for filling that role!”

Students were highly engaged and actively applied their mathematical problem-solving skills to solve problems related to the real and complex number system, equations, and proportional relationships that align with the movie theme..

Transforming a classroom from the typical day-to-day environment creates a sense of wonder in the students. From the moment they step inside the classroom, the learning environment completely changes. Students are quickly drawn into the magic of the transformation. • Differentiated Resources from TPT

    Funded May 10, 2024

Thank you donors for your generosity and support in bringing the Differentiated Resources from TPT project to life.

Thank you for helping my students and I with this generous gift. The gift cards are allowing me to explore Teachers Pay Teachers to find exactly what I needed.

With the gift cards, I have begun to purchase content made by general education and special education teachers for our diverse group of learners. My students were the ones who are benefitting from this the most. Whether it is through activities, worksheets, manipulative, or station tasks, each differentiated task ties to our curriculum. Students are using worksheets I printed out during stations time, where they apply their knowledge of mathematics and science at varied levels. In addition, I have been able to purchase math anchor charts, I am able to edit, to use as a visual reference to support students' thinking, reasoning, and problem solving.

  • Food for Thought

    Funded May 19, 2023

I want to express my gratitude for the donations we received to our Food for Thought project. Your donations have had a positive impact on our middle school students and their ability to succeed on a daily basis. The snacks have helped to bridge the gap between meals. The health snacks help fuel our students' brains and prepare them for the challenges they face every day.

The snack items we received have helped to improve our students' concentration, memory, attention span, and their overall thinking. Our students have been displaying more efficient problem-solving skills, greater fact comprehension, and stronger mental recall after being given a healthy snack break before engaging in academic tasks. In science, our 7th graders learned about metabolism and how healthy snacks help stabilize their energy levels, stimulate metabolism, and even out their blood glucose levels. Our students can now identify how their level of glucose can impact their energy level, irritability and anxiety. Students have become more mindful of what they are feeding their bodies and the impact the foods have on their ability to succeed academically.

Thank you for supporting our project and for making a difference in the lives of our young children.”

The use of blue light glasses is necessary to reduce the damage caused by hours of learning utilizing iPads, laptops and/or PCs. My students will be required to engage in remote learning for 5 hours daily, which can cause significant strain and damage to their eyes. My self-contained population of students would benefit from using these glasses both physically and mentally. I believe my students' academic stamina and ability to remain focused will increase with these blue light glasses. In addition, my students have a wide range of sensory issues. A stylus would help them to be more engaged in their learning. It is proven that students remember more of what they learn when they physically write down the material rather than using a keyboard.
