Tasty Treats!
Funded Dec 20, 2024Thank you so much for you generous donation of healthy snacks. I work in a community where food insecurity is at an all time high and our federal administration cutback of food programs have directly impacted the students I serve. Ensuring students have a healthy, diverse snack option means they have a need met and more time to focus on academics. I am incredibly grateful to be able to provide food to my students and this would not have been possible without support from you. Thank you again for your generosity!”

Funded May 21, 2022Thank you so much for your generous donations. Students have been deep in their studies of cultural beliefs and values. Each student has access to the book and multiple differentiated activities- this was all made possible by your donations. We have been extremely grateful to read and connect with the text as well as apply our learning outside of the classroom. Students visited the Portland Art Museum to explore Native American artifacts we have been reading about. Thanks again for your commitment and care!”

Funded Nov 30, 2021Thank you so much for your contributions to our classroom. We were able to get each student a book and had the ability to read aloud both as a class, in pairs, and in small groups. Students fell in love with Amara´s character and were fascinated to see their experiences reflected in literature.
Students read and reflected on the books daily. They were excited to see the story unfold and developed deep reading skills along the way.
Thank you again for committing to getting diverse authors and characters in the hands of students. Your monetary support and words of encouragement are greatly appreciated!”

Funded Sep 5, 2020Thank you for all of the wonderful supplies! Every single item has been used to create a warm welcoming environment for students and to ensure our classroom has the materials to function. Although students have not seen our classroom in person due to COVID 19, a small group of students will be in my room starting March 2. Thank you again for donating for making a conscious choice to help children. The clips, colored paper, and lamination materials may seem small but their impact is huge. Thank you again for your generosity.”

Thrive in Grade 5
Funded Aug 22, 2020Thank you so much for your generous donations. Each day students use items that were donated. Sometimes students write in their journals while other day they use their highlighter to take notes. We are all so grateful that your donations reached 37 5th students. When I delivered supplies to students they were both shocked and impressed by their goodies. I know they feel supported, appreciative, and believed in. Thrive in Grade 5
Funded Aug 24, 2020Thank you for your generous donations. Thanks to you, all students received binders fully equipped with materials to start 5th grade. Additionally, students received snacks, art supplies, white boards, and other supplies to use at home.
Students were elated to receive their items and many of them continue to talk about how grateful they are. Many students would not have materials for school without your donations. You have lessened the stress and financial burden on families and ensured that all students had an equitable start to 5th grade. Thank you!”
