I will use the materials I chose to provide high-quality instruction and support to my students.
Most of the materials are things that will help with virtual learning. I plan to deliver "welcome packs" of helpful materials to students. A couple items are things that will help me teach from home or when we return to in-person instruction.
For this project, I requested:
-a $100 Teachers Pay Teachers gift card (This would be so helpful, because I could use it to purchase lesson plan materials.)
-a whiteboard (I am teaching from my apartment, so I need to make my small desk area as classroom-like as possible. Having a whiteboard will especially help me model writing and math problems.)
-about 100 thick pencils (These will help my young students write as clearly as possible.)
-24 Playdoh cups (I will give each student a cup of Playdoh that they can use to form letters and other shapes.) Using playdough helps students improve their fine motor skills, which is important for many life skills, including writing.
-1000 classroom snap cubes (I will give each student a set of snap cubes that they can use to learn important math concepts like one-to-one correspondence, comparing numbers, etc.)
-200 small toys (I would like to give each parent a class "reward box" so that when their student earns a reward during our virtual session, they can get one from their parents.)
-laminating sheets (This will mostly be helpful for when we return to in-person instruction. Laminating sheets allow me to create long-lasting lesson materials.)
