All students have a need and a want to learn. At times their need to move often interferes with their ability to learn. With flexible seating our students will have an opportunity to complete their work with more success while having seating that moves with them. In order to focus, some of our students may need to "wiggle". Allowing them to have this opportunity to move will increase their ability to focus more on the lesson, instead of their need to move. With a wobble stool, our students are allowed that small movement that will satisfy the need to move while allowing them to focus on the lesson that is being taught. This gives our students more opportunities for success In our classroom we have students with all types of learning abilities. We have students with Autism, Downs Syndrome and Cerebral Palsy. Each student has their own way of learning. At times they may need an extra reinforcement in order to help then be successful. Having flexible seating available promotes student learning, while giving them movement at the same time.
