Recalibrating and Refocusing

Help me give my students the ability to recalibrate & refocus from what is on their mind. This project allows students to record messages, calm their worries by exploring with building materials, and writing in fun ways.

  • Understanding Student Needs

    Funded Mar 25, 2025

Thank you so much for helping fund this project. My students and I appreciate your kindness, generosity, and thoughtfulness. Without you, this project would not have come to fruition.

My students have benefited from having these supplies. They have helped them focus, pay attention to instruction, and reset. The students love the flexible seating arrangements, the organization they use from the communication caddy, and the books that allow them to refocus on classroom instruction.

Thank you again for helping make this project a reality! We couldn't do it without you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Saunders

  • Learning to Read With Reading Buddies!

    Funded Oct 31, 2024

Thank you so much for helping us achieve this grant. We appreciate your kindness, generosity, and thoughtfulness. We couldn't have done this without you! The 2 new chairs, books, and stuffed animals have added extra practice for our students. They want to read to a friend! It provides great practice for them.

The students love reading to their buddies. By having stuffed animals to read to the students can read out loud to an audience. This helps build their confidence and fluency. They love it!!!

Thank you again for your support!!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Saunders

  • Leveled Nonfiction Books for Research

    Funded Aug 15, 2024

Thank you for your donation to our project Leveled Nonfiction Books for Research. My first graders are loving the nonfiction leveled books! The books and activities provide the necessary leveled access for all readers. Everyone can have access to something that they can read on the topic of the month and the students have leveled projects as well. This allows collaboration and accountability for all group members. Students feel successful and contribute because they feel empowered.

Projects like this are not possible without generous and kind people like you! Thank you for your thoughtfulness. We appreciate all that you do to help our class.”

  • 1st Grade Crafting

    Funded Feb 15, 2024

Thank you so much for supporting our project for 1st Grade Crafting. Our classroom is able to use the Cricut Crafting Machine to make cards, art projects, academic games, and activities in the classroom. Students are creating different templates and models to add pizzaz to their creations!

Without your support, we would not be able to add this additional level of creativity, guidance, and designs to the student's artwork.

We appreciate you thinking of our classroom. Your generosity, kindness, and thoughtfulness are appreciated. Without your donation, there would not be the opportunity to extend and add additional components to our classroom activities.

Thank you again for your support,”

  • Resources With Pizzazz!

    Funded Nov 8, 2023

Thank you for your generosity, kindness, and thoughtfulness. My students and I

appreciate your support for this project. By making this project a reality, my students had access to high-quality activities, games, and instructional slides to help them engage in the grade-level standards and content.

Students were able to sort their spelling words each week and play math games based on the items that were purchased. These activities made learning fun and the students loved the games. They were learning without even knowing it.

Thank you again. We greatly appreciate you helping our classroom succeed!”

    With gratitude,

Thank you for your generosity, kindness, and willingness to help my students and I make this project a reality. The color printer has and will be used for multiple projects and activities.

  • Mastering 1st Grade Skills

    Funded Aug 11, 2023

Thank you so much for helping us make this project a reality. My students and I really appreciate you taking the time to donate to our classroom project. We appreciate your kindness, thoughtfulness, and generosity. Without community support, we are unable to have projects like this funded.

Students use the pointers daily to read anchor charts around the room. This helps them work independently or with partners to practice their reading skills. Students also use the math charts daily to read and practice fluency with numbers.

Thank you again for helping my students have resources that make learning first-grade skills engaging and fun!

  • Making Learning Fun!

    Funded Mar 11, 2023

Thank you for making our project, Making Learning Fun a Reality! Your support, generosity, and kindness made using these new and engaging materials a way for students to learn their standards in an exciting way! Students love to use the games and engaging materials that were purchased with this project. Having engaging resources like these help make learning fun for my students. Each of my students are able to access the materials to help improve their own learning and skills because it meets them right where they are at. My students love to use the resources because they feel like they are playing a game while they are practicing their math and reading skills.

Thank you again for your support.”

I teach K-1 students with disabilities. My students require engaging activities to help them close their learning gaps, hone their foundational skills, and make learning fun. My students are 5-7 years old and have small attention spans for the most part. During the virtual learning process, I would like to make learning more engaging and model educational programs and apps that will help my students with ways to bridge their gaps in learning. By modeling these programs and apps together, I will be able to instruct new content and explain how my students can extend the use of these programs when they are working independently or with their parents at home. The use of the iPad, via programs and apps, will provide a fun way to instruct and engage my students when they are learning the knowledge, skills and abilities (such as: letter/sound relationship, identifying and counting numbers, etc) that will help close some of the learning gaps of their grade age peers that do not have learning disabilities. Once in person learning resumes, students will be using the programs and apps via manipulation of the iPad during small group instruction and pull out lessons.
