  • Dry Erase Markers Needed

    Funded Aug 15, 2024

I want to thank you for making my project a reality. I received all the materials on Monday, and I started using them right away.

My students have been working on their math warmups using the Kleen Slate paddle whiteboards because they now have the Kleen Slate markers they needed. I have started using the scented to correct my student's class work. My students really enjoy trying to figure out the scent of the marker I have used to correct their work. I have not used the Velcro dots yet, but I plan to as soon as I purchase a new class calendar.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Cornejo

  • Needed Materials to Set Up Classroom

    Funded Jul 7, 2024

Thank you for your generous donations and for supporting education.

I was able to setup my classroom using the chair pockets. My students are able to keep their whiteboards, erasable clear pockets and books organized. I have enough dry erase markers to replace the markers that have dried out. My school only provides one pack of sticky tack, so the four packs of sticky tack will allow me to put up more student work around the room. The name tag labels will help me have enough tags for all of my students. They all wear their name tag, so I can learn their names.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Cornejo

  • Dry Erase Pocket Sleeves and Laminating Sheets

    Funded Apr 16, 2024

I am currently in the process of printing, cutting, gluing and laminating the alphabet recognition games I am making for my kindergarteners! Thanks to your generous donations, I have colorful file folders and laminating sheets to make these games for my students.

During the first week of August, I will be going back to my classroom to set up my classroom for my new students. During that week, I will be placing the student's name practice sheet, alphabet tracing sheet, and number writing sheets in the dry erase pocket sleeves that you donated. I will also be able to place the dry erase pocket sleeves in the chair pockets you donated.”

  • Name Tags and Literacy Games

    Funded Dec 26, 2023

I was able to buy various file folder literacy games on Teachers Pay Teachers. I have printed, cut, glued, and laminated the games and my students were able to play them this past week.

I purchased letter recognition, letter sound correspondence, ending sounds, short vowels, and digraph games. I have placed my students in groups according to their literacy needs. Each group has a different colored bin, which contains games that focus on a specific literacy need. Students sit next to a classmate who needs to focus on the same area of literacy and choose a game to play together.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Cornejo

  • Math Games Needed

    Funded Nov 8, 2023

I have placed and organized all the math file folder games by categories in the colored bins you generously donated, and I have showed my students how to match the file folder number with the envelope containing all the game pieces they will need for the particular game they are going to play.

They are currently learning how to work as a team. I have placed my students in groups of two or three and they have to work together and help each other play the games.

They are very excited to play the games. They are having fun while learning new math skills.”

  • Jumbo Magnetic Letters

    Funded Sep 21, 2022

My students and I really appreciate your generous donation. My students have been enjoying the Star Name of the day. The jumbo alphabet letters have allowed my students to view their names in color and large letters. They are able to see how many letters their name contains , what the first letter and last letter of their name is. They see which letters have curves and which letters have lines. They enjoy seeing their name on the whiteboard at the front of the class. Most of my students are able to to recognize their name and recognize their classmate's names.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Cornejo

  • Phonics and Sight Word Games

    Funded Aug 9, 2022

I was able to purchase many great alphabet recognition and sight word file folder games on teachers pay teacher thanks to your generous donations.

I was able to make most of them before the school year started and they are now available for my students to use during Independent Work Time. My students play the games after they complete all their Independent Work Time assignments, which allows me to work with small groups. My students are really enjoying the games and learning to recognize uppercase and lowercase letters!”

The Flex-Space Double-Sided Mobile Teaching Easel will help my students to have a better view of what I am writing during math lessons because I will be able to move the easel with ease. The easel that I am currently using is a painting easel, which has no wheels, so it is difficult to maneuver it when students cannot see what I am writing. Not only will it help my students become mathematicians, but my students will also learn the importance of being resourceful. I will be able to use the easel for math warm ups, and I will not be utilizing the amount of chart paper I have had to use. I focus on financial literacy skills such as choral counting and number sense routines during math warm ups. Having access to a magnetic write and wipe easel will allow my students to utilize magnetic math manipulatives. It will also allow more visuals for my students, and will motivate my students to participate during math warm ups and lessons.
