  • Dashing into Robotics

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

I am so thankful for the opportunity to share the dash coding robots with my students. Thanks to your donations, we finally have a county approved way to learn computer coding skills that is fun and engaging. My students have thoroughly enjoyed trying the coding paths and designing their own sequences for dash. They have been able to work with important programming concepts suck as events, sequence, and loops. I know the robots will be an important part of our robotics program for years to come due to their durability and ease of use.”

  • Full STEAM Ahead

    Funded Oct 22, 2020

I so appreciate your support with my Full STEAM Ahead project. My students are on their way to being great engineers! So far, we have built houses, magnetic cars, animal shelters, mazes, and bridges incorporating the materials received. Now that we are back at school full time, students are engaging in more hands-on projects and loving it! We are journeying to space next and will be building rockets and planet models. Again, thank you for making our first year with our STEAM program a great success!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. McClung

I am starting the first STEAM program at our school that will serve all of our students K-5. Currently, our students do not have access to many STEAM materials and our budget is limited for starting this program. The requested items will allow me to give them hands-on, engaging experiences while also supporting their learning of math and science standards. The requested materials will be used to teach basic circuitry as well as the principles of engineering. Projects include bridge building, animal adaptation design (bio-engineering), and parallel and series circuitry.
