  • Books for Everyone!

    Funded Sep 4, 2020

I want to thank you so much for your generosity towards my classroom! These new books provided my students with a variety of topics to read from daily. It gave them the opportunity to choose what they wanted. My students were so very excited about the arrival of these new products and it gave them a new love for reading! Reading in my classroom happens daily and the students are always given the opportunity to choose books they wish to read. My girls especially loved the Babysitters Club books and my boys loved the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Gregory

  • Resources for All!

    Funded Aug 17, 2020

My students and I are so grateful for the materials that you have so graciously donated to us! These new resources are used almost daily in our classroom and outside the classroom while st home. The power polygons were so handy during our geometry until and really helped my students recognize types of angles. They also loved building symmetrical shapes out of them. The students loved getting new packages in of all of the materials and could not wait to open them to see what was inside.

Soon we will start a literary essay unit and I know the books that we recieved will be put to good use during our writing unit!

Again, thank you so much for your generous donation!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Gregory

This classroom project was brought to life by Tyson Foods and one other donor.
My students need new protractors, scissors, highlighters, dry erase boards with markers and erasers, books and a subscription to TIME for Kids. These materials will help their learning come alive especially during a pandemic. Books and math manipulatives will be used in the classroom, but students will also be allowed to take home the materials to help them at home as well to help them be successful in both learning environments. Hands on experiences allow them to to connect their learning in a different way. Before COVID, students got to share manipulatives with each other, but this year, they need to each have their own individual set. I also want them to be able to have these at home if at home learning takes place again.
