I've found that Social Studies is usually the class in elementary school that gets pushed back because subjects like Literacy or Math are deemed more important. I believe that it is important for my third graders to learn about their past through the use of Literacy. By purchasing these books for my third grade class, YOU will make a difference in their lives and how they view our past. My students will have the chance to hear stories about the History, Economics, and Geography with these books. I plan on including engaging activities with each of these books, so students can feel like they are in the era of each one. I am excited to teach my students about the past, but also including Literacy within their learning. I find that short stories are more entertaining than a textbook. Please help out my class (and future classes) by donating to this cause. Thank you!
