Recorders for Jefferson
Funded Apr 17, 2024Thank you! The students will be excited to have an instrument they can take home and practice. This will be instrumental in developing their ability to read and play music as well as establishing a culture of self discipline and artistic expression. Thank you again and best wishes to you all!”

Original Productions
Funded Sep 17, 2020Please let me begin by thanking you all for your support. Putting on a virtual concert was not an easy accomplishment. Students and their families rehearsed once a week using "Zoom" and "Google Classroom". I would not have been able to accomplish any rehearsing with out the technology you have provided. Between the editing, and the "CPU" requirements just to simply run an online video application with multiple users, the computer provided from our school would not have been able to support such demands.
The Technology provided allowed my students and their families to experience multiple "Virtual Choir" rehearsals from the safeties of their own home. Students were able to record themselves singing and playing in real time, and send the recordings to be fused/spliced together in order to create a full scale virtual concert video. Due to difficulties unforseen, trade mark and copy rights/title rights with the song selected, we are unable to share to the video.”

Funded Sep 20, 2022Thank you so much for supporting our project, "Drumming at Jefferson". The drum sticks and drum pads you helped provide allow the students another medium to rehearse, practice, and perform. There were two groups who benefitted from this wonderful opportunity; General Music Classes: 4th, 5th, and 6th Grades as well as three separate drumming ensemble classes. Students were able to practice real drum rudiments at home as well as practice through the method books they take home. The ability to practice on a drum pad also decreases the impediment of other around them. Drumming on tables, counters, desks, and books can all be very loud and distracting to others. This allowed the students to practice even if they have younger siblings at home, who may require a quiet atmosphere in most occasions. My students are full of gratitude for your kind philanthropic endeavors.”
