These variety of books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create each year. My classroom library is a place that my students really enjoy; however due to our recent health circumstances...I find that I need a wider range and amount of books for students to enjoy! I'm teaching a new grade level this year and want to give a opportunities for my students to pick books that help them to grow and challenge their reading abilities. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind-I have watched them the past few weeks of school read titles just like these, and I have also asked them what type of books they would enjoy reading. Students will be able to choose books, which will help them continue to enjoy independent and shared reading time. In addition some of the books are for our whole group read alouds, which also spark their curiosity and love of reading. These leveled readers will allow my students to choose from a variety of genres, read independently at their level and challenge their skills by picking a book at the next level. They will also be able to choose books that interest them. I believe the best way to increase reading ability & success is to read more and find books you enjoy! These books will continue to help my students grow stronger in their reading skills. They have already have shown an astonishing interest in independent reading, and this project will only help enrich their experiences with the printed word. The privacy displays will help ensure that my students are working independently, staying safe, and having fun learning!
