Children need to see a visual representation as they learn math concepts. Manipulatives can assist with learning counting, patterns, adding, subtracting, and more. Our students will begin the year at home, and I am trying to get them their own set of tools to help assist them with distance learning. A set of math manipulatives is essential as many of the students do not have access to these items at home. As we transition back to the schoolroom the students will have their own materials to keep at their desks.
