Classroom Solutions
Funded Aug 20, 2022There are not enough words to thank you all for your generosity. Your continued support for all learners is forever appreciated. With your donations, I have been able to create a designated space as a focal point in our classroom, that continually motivates students to make good choices and work hard. I created this space along with students. We used the blue shoe rack for our "Tienda Dojo." The students worked on price labels for each shoe rack pocket, and I recycled a Pringles box for an awning and store sign. Each pocket contains different prizes students may shop for at the end of the week in celebration of Class Dojo points they have earned for displaying good habits.
The magnetic spice rack is used to display our Book of the Month. It is also a focal point in our classroom where, after reading the book with the me as a whole class, students have access to the book to reread and review, on their own or with peers.
The wireless red-light presenter has been absolute game changer for me during lessons. I am no longer bond to the front of the classroom, having to tap the promethean board throughout each lesson, rather I can move around the classroom freely to better facilitate learning for students, and use the clicker from anywhere in the classroom to move the lesson along.
In a classroom of young learners, it is always my priority to reflect and practice good organization. The construction paper storage, as well as the 6 pocket white shoe racks, have helped build great habits for students. I use the white shoe racks as head phone storage for students. As soon as students see the Google Slide that indicates technology time, they move straight towards the shoe racks to take their head phones, and always make sure to place them back, all wires inside the pocket. For our class construction paper storage, the organizer has been a huge timesaver! Students work hard to make sure all colors remain in their designated slot and no longer need to waste time sifting through piles to find the color they need.
All of these amazing donations truly have been GREAT CLASSROOM SOLUTIONS! Thank you all for making these solutions possible for my students and I!”

Sharpen Our Learning
Funded Jan 19, 2022We are forever thankful for your generosity! Thanks to your donations, we were able to supply our classroom with copy paper, pencils and an electric sharpener! We were very excited to get started using our materials right away! We have been diligently using the copy paper for our writing units, and best of all, our pencils are always "ready to write" thanks to the efficiency of having an electric sharpener. We look forward to continuing to show our learning, across pages, using all your amazing donations!”

Teaching in a Kidney Perfect Space!
Funded Sep 26, 2021My students and I are so incredibly thankful for your support and generosity! With your help, our class was very fortunate to receive a Kidney Table and Wobble Chairs to support our small group learning, Book Bins and a Supply Tool Box, to maintain our guided reading materials organized, and Touch Lights to manage student voice levels as we all work hard to keep on L.E.A.R.N.ing! I am forever grateful for your support in ensuring that all our students are successful and have the supplies and learning environment necessary to grow as life-long learners!”

PowerUP with CHROME!
Funded Aug 18, 2020My heart is so incredible happy with all your generosity! With your donations, we achieved our goal of purchasing 2 Dell Chromebooks for our classroom. This has opened a wide range of possibilities and opportunities for us to expand our learning. Especially as a dual language class, having access to technology afforded us the opportunity to work in pairs for reading, as we read the same text with a partner (socially distanced, one with an hard copy book and another with an e-book on the chromebook), had access to a wider range of digital libraries in Spanish, the ability to vrtually engage in student-paced lessons within the classroom, and even complete online assessments as a whole class, while maintaining a social distance.
My first grade dual language class and I are FOREVER grateful for your support. Because of you, we were able to POWER UP OUR LEARNING WITH CHROME! Thank you!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Sosa
