My students often sit on the floor to listen to read alouds, read independently, or work collaboratively in small groups. Because of Covid-19, we had to throw out our old rugs in the past and haven't had anything since then. The students need a comfortable, warm, and inviting place to come together to learn. My students love reading independently and need comfortable places to stretch out when they are getting into a good book. We also want to decorate classroom walls to make our learning environment welcoming so the students want to come to school and become part of a community.
