This is been a very trying time for teachers and students alike. My district will likely be going to distance-learning in the Fall. In March when all of the schools went to distance learning because of the COVID-19 outbreak, I had to teach from home using a district issued laptop. Unfortunately, the laptop was very slow and the connections and microphone didn’t work all the time. We were required to do zoom meetings with our students and the students could not hear me. This was very disappointing for both students and me. It was very hard to teach my students without a reliable working laptop. I need a quality, reliable laptop to create virtual lessons for my students. The laptop will also give me the means to create videos for the students and parents so that I can capture their attention in a meaningful way.
