High school students can be a challenge to engage - they are so tech-savvy and teachers are competing with gaming and social media and YouTube! But I still see my teenage students' faces light up when they see a really cool photo of some strange animal or some crazy weather pattern. These kids are still curious and want to learn but in today's world, teachers need to "hook" them with lots of visuals and eye-catching headlines. Science World by Scholastic does this. It's relevant and engaging. Science isn't a dusty old textbook anymore - it's vital and pertinent to students' lives.
