Kindergarten is such a wonderful and excited grade level. Students begin the year not knowing how to appropriately sit in a chair, open milk cartons, and use a pencil correctly. By the end of the year, they know their routines, are writing sentences, and are reading simple sentences (for the most part). I love getting to teach this grade level because while it does come with many challenges, it is also VERY rewarding. My goal as an educator is to provide a comfortable and fun learning space for my students. While I have high expectations for behavior, I also understand that every child learns and communicates differently. I aim to ensure that every student that walks into my classroom feels valued and understood. Teaching is a career that will keep you on your toes at all times but will also provide you with many moments of pure happiness. I look forward to many more years in the classroom!
