Teachers are known for being flexible and tackling all challenges to best fit the needs of their students. COVID-19 has provided the most unprecedented of all teaching challenges! During the spring of 2020 teachers had to dramatically adapt to the "new norm" and teach from home. Unfortunately, our world is still battling this horrible virus and teaching has forever changed. This fall, whether students are present in-person or are a part of our distance learning virtual academy, I want to provide quality lessons to equally reach both groups of learners. A document camera will allow me to film my in-class lessons as well as make videos of mini-lessons to help stay connected to my distant learners. I will be able to create voice over recordings to help explain assignments to those students who feel safer learning at home. Also, a document camera will help bridge the gap between me teaching both in person and online simultaneously. I will be able to share science demonstrations, brainstorm writing sessions and lessons, and connect students virtually. Thank you for helping both myself and my students get through this challenging time.
