  • Stay in Class, Pedal Fast

    Funded Jan 16, 2023

Thank you so much for donating to my project. Because of your donation, I was able to serve the needs of the students on campus that have Type 2 diabetes. The students no longer have to be out of class and miss instruction. Before, the students would have to use a (rather noisy) jump rope in the classroom, which often caused a distraction to other students. Now, the students are able to use an exercise machine at their desk or in the nurse's office.

I just want to thank you again for helping me fund this project :)”

    Ms. Reyes

  • Headphones Make a Teacher Happy

    Funded Feb 3, 2021

Thank you so much for providing durable headphones for my students. The noise level in my classroom has decreased drastically since you decided to fund this project. I am forever grateful and I know my students are, too.

Before Covid, we only had four student computers, so purchasing headphones was not too expensive. Once the pandemic happened, every child was issued a laptop. This is great technology to have for the students and the instruction forever changed. Unfortunately, so did the noise level in my classroom.

Now that each child has been able to have access to their own headphones, the students and myself are able to concentrate on the task at hand. This is the second classroom to benefit from the use of these headphones. Thank you and your foundation!”

  • Stress Relief Storage Bins

    Funded Aug 11, 2020

These calm down boxes are a lifesaver in my kindergarten classroom!! Because my students are so young, they often feel overwhelmed. Now imagine the feeling of going to school for the first time, paired with going to school during a pandemic. This is exactly why I created these boxes. I picked every item in these boxes as tools to help my students calm down when they feel overwhelmed or stressed.

The students are always asking to use these calm down boxes. I explained the purpose of these boxes and provided an example when a student came in crying because he missed his mother. Once my students saw that the box was able to help the student calm down, they were better able to understand the concept.

While there have been few times I let the students use the boxes as a reward or to explore the box, I definitely use them to help those students in need. These boxes are awesome and I fully see myself using them after the pandemic ends.”

    With gratitude,

  • Safety at the Small Group

    Funded Aug 10, 2020

Thank you so much for your donation. My students and myself are so grateful! I am able to feel comfortable teaching during small group to my students with the use of my personal face shields as well as the privacy shields. I am also able to keep my students safe by using the privacy shields at the long tables and separating the students.

My students are young; I'm a kinder teacher. When they saw the shields they thought they were soooo cool. All of the students asked if they could sit at the tables that had the shields separators. Once I explained they were used to keep germs away, I think they were even more excited!

These shields help in a major way. They help keep my classroom environment clean. I definitely more at ease teaching at my small group with the protection of the face shield I wear as well as the clear privacy shields I use at my table.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Reyes

Going back into the classroom during a national pandemic can be scary. I always let my students know that I am their safe-keeper. I would love to be able to keep them as safe and healthy as possible by adding dividers to our small group table. By having dividers at the small group table, I will be able to safely offer instruction to my students. Small group is where I help my students learn math, reading, and writing skills. I pull up to 4 students per group at a small table and these dividers will my kinder kiddos to spread less germs by staying in their assigned areas.
