Stepping stones to ELAR sucess.

Funded Oct 27, 2020

Thank you for your donations. We have been able to provide more students with individualized lessons. Each student has had the opportunity to learn with beautiful hands on materials. My students are learning English as a second language. The patterning work helps them understand patterns in language and make connections. The distancing circles are not only helping us remember to keep safe but to learn colors and patterns. The reader books attributed to the classroom library and now each child can have more than 5 books in their basket at a time.

The students were extremely surprised when we got the materials. They are so grateful for them that they constantly remind each other to be kind with the material because they are new. They treat the materials as if it was precious treasure. (For us it is and we are extremely thankful for your generosity)

We are starting to get more students to come back from home learning. We currently do not have space to keep everyone separated. We will have to get creative with sitting areas and tables. They are wanting to write letters to each other. They started by writing hearts and sweet notes to each other. The enthusiasm has continued and now they encourage each other with their sweet notes.”

With gratitude,

Mrs. Enriquez
