I want to expose my students to a variety of reading genres with diverse characters. I believe that with a more inclusive library of books my students will be more empathetic and respectful towards another no matter their differences. I hope they can relate to the characters of these books and learn from different backgrounds from their own. Some of the other materials I am requesting will help support differentiated instruction and even allow students to have individual materials since COVID will not allow us to have a shared supply station.
