My students include a large percentage of English language learners. They are eager to learn, however they can struggle with scientific terminology and conceptual learning. To improve their learning experience, my students need differentiated lessons, visuals, and direct involvement. The needs of my students are more difficult to meet during remote learning, such as hands-on activities and experimentation. Involvement in science, rather than passive learning, can help these kids greatly.
