  • Virtual Fieldtrips-Where Ya Going?

    We have already put our fabulous gift from you to use! The kids took their very first virtual field trip to New York City to see the original Twin Towers!! They also got to experience an interview of a survivor of the World Trade Center attacks!

    I just want to say this has made learning fun and realistic as can be in our small town. Some of our children will never experience traveling, this technology allows them to "be" in the moment all thanks to your generosity and love for making education fun and enjoyable.”

  • Kindle Oasis: A World of Literacy Awaits!

    Thank you so very much for the help with our technology grant! We currently have used our new technology for a digital library, so we don't even have to wait for our new books to arrive in the mail when we want to read them! We have used them for nature hunts, scavenger hunts, science, and other subjects as well! The opportunities have been endless with your generous donation!

    I have had readers that don't pick up a book from our library that have "jumped" at the idea of reading a book on a "electronic" library. I have had students use it to document our community projects and even use it to look up inquiry lessons when they are in need.

    I cannot wait to expand our library in the upcoming years and see where this electronic library takes us in our new adventure as technology savvy librarians!”

These iPads will allow my student's reading diversity and new downloaded books to enhance the knowledge based classroom that I strive to create. My classroom is a place that my students really enjoy-reading, they find their interest, and they read independently! Every virtual student book that is placed in my kids hands is treasured and they are thankful for the opportunities to read. I will use the Ipad with programs such as Epic, Newsela, and other apps to create a virtual library for my students to apply a future-ready library. This will not only help with building our library, but will help with that of the safety guidelines during Covid19. As of right now, I do not have any student iPads for my technological library.

About my class
