Remote/Virtual teaching is challenging with any age group. Teaching 3-5 year olds with special needs this way is even more so. These materials will provide my students with similar material kits so that I can create online lessons for us to use the materials together. From their homes, my students will be able to use these materials to learn in a hands on way while I model for them. Most young children with special needs learn best through visual and verbal modeling. With this project, I will be able to put motivation materials into the hands of my students, such as crayons, play doh, to help keep them engaged during valuable lessons aimed at increasing communication, fine motor skills, and attention to basic directions.
