As previously mentioned, I am a first-year teacher and I want to provide the necessary tools and resources for my students to be successful in their online learning. Essentially, the materials listed will make a difference in my students' learning by providing me the educational resources and tools to effectively plan, teach, and scaffold instructional practices for my students from home. The Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT) gift card and phonics journal will be used for student learning. For example, the gift card will give me the opportunity to buy online resources from TPT to plan, instruct, apply, and extend knowledge of content for my ELL and non-ELL students, such as reading passages and/or activities. Moreover, the phonics journal can be used to practice students' phonological skills during independent/small group work. I can use this resource by scanning in worksheets from the journal and inputting them onto the classroom platform, so they can practice their skills. Additionally, the table desk will help me supply a professional workspace to teach my students at home. It'll create a similar classroom experience for my students. The headphones will help me support my teaching practice without any distractions or noise. It will also give me a way for clear communication with my students and their families during live sessions or prerecorded lessons. The whiteboard and markers will serve to demonstrate to students any content that students need more assistance or practice with. I will also use the whiteboard to show the specific standards and objectives of the lesson, so they are readily available for all students when needed. Overall, these at-home appliances and resources will help me to serve my students in receiving a worthwhile online education.
