  • Much Needed Supplies

    Funded Dec 17, 2024

Thank you doesn’t seem like enough. I am humbled by your generosity and support. My students will be able to continue learning their letters and sounds in a fun and interactive way. The post-it sheets are referred to daily while writing and each week we create letter crowns using the sentence strips. Thank you once again for your support.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Hartford

  • Kindergarten Magazines

    Funded Sep 20, 2024

Thank you for your support. The kids love learning science and social studies using our "Let's Find Out" and "Science Spin" magazines. Your donation allowed each child to receive their own paper copy. They can take it home and share what they have learned with their families.

The interactive computer portion keeps everyone engaged while having fun. They can play memory games, watch entertaining videos, and read along with their own copy.

Thank you again for helping our classroom. I continue to feel blessed being chosen.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Hartford

  • Kindergarteners Need to Play!

    Funded Oct 13, 2023

Thank you for your generosity. The children are so excited to "play" in our kitchen area now. I have to keep track of whose turn it is because they all want to go to that center. They absolutely love making pizza and baking cookies with their pretend family. The students are getting a chance to practice their social skills and problem solving.

We are about to turn it into a supermarket. This will allow the kids to practice adding and subtracting numbers. The students will take turns being the store clerks and shoppers.

Without donations from caring people like you these experiences wouldn't be possible.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Hartford

  • School Supplies for All

    Funded Aug 21, 2023

Thank you once again for your generosity. The supplies have been extremely needed to allow my students to learn while being creative. We use the whiteboard markers each day to practice our letters, sounds, and numbers. The self-sticking poster board pads allow us to learn our numbers and letters and then hang them up for quick reference.

Every kindergarten classroom needs a lot of construction paper for art projects. These projects aren't just fun, they help teach eye/hand coordination, help strengthen the children's hand muscles, and allow for individual creativity. Thank you again for helping my class.”

  • Kindergarten Magazines

    Funded Aug 9, 2023

Thank you once again for your generosity. Each month a package arrives at school with five different magazines. The children love learning with the Let's Find Out and Science Spin magazines. We use the digital portion to expand our learning with the videos and interactive games. The children also each get a paper copy of the magazine to take home and share with their families.

The children are thoroughly interested and excited each time I pull out the next issue. The magazines help make our Science and Social Studies block fun.”

  • An Easel to Read and Write Together

    Funded Sep 9, 2021

Our new interactive easel is amazing. It is at the appropriate height for my students to reach and write on it. It is easily movable, is magnetic to hang chart paper, and the tray underneath holds all the supplies we need while using the easel.

The easel has been an intracule part of our classroom. Each morning we use it for our morning meeting. We no longer need to use several sheets of chart paper each day. The students come up and circle, read, and answer questions right on the easel. When we are finished we can just wipe it off.

I am able to turn it around and use the other side for individual centers.”

  • Help Unlock the Mysteries of Reading!

    Funded Jul 14, 2021

My class has fallen in love with Secret Stories. From the moment we received them and hung up the posters, the children were engaged. They love learning how the letters work together to make different sounds. The stories are cute, memorable, and age appropriate.

As the year progressed, I noticed the students looking up at the wall, using the secrets to spell words in their journals, and decoding our morning message. It has given all of my students the tools to succeed.

I can't wait to see how much further this years' class will get using the Secret Stories all year.”

  • Kindergarten is Fun!

    Funded Aug 26, 2021

I am once again humbled by the support my classroom and students have received. I can’t wait to witness the creative masterpieces my kiddos will make with these supplies. Thanks again for helping make kindergarten a positive and fun experience for my students. I couldn’t have done it without your help.”

  • Germs aren't welcome HERE!

    Funded Feb 13, 2021

This past school year was very challenging and stressful for all of us, especially our youngest students. While the kids worked from home remotely they understood it was to keep them safe. When we were told they could come back to school, even though they were excited, some of them were a little scared. The items from this project helped my students feel safe.

We read several stories how to stop germs from spreading, we watched how the germs can get washed away or disappear with hand sanitizer, and how wearing a mask can keep us all safe. With each new story the kids connected their learning and knowledge and felt more at ease.

I can happily say that none of my students got sick while we were in school and we had zero confirmed cases of COVID in my classroom. I believe it was partly to the lessons I was able to teach with the items provided to me from this project. Thank you for making this possible.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Hartford

This September we will be teaching/learning through a hybrid or remote learning plan. Both plans will require individual, no-contact, work kits. My 5- and 6-year-old students will need to have their own learning tools and supplies at home and at school. They will need one kit with math tools, one with reading tools, one with science tools, and one with school supplies. I have already purchased most of the supplies to fill these kits but am in need of the containers. These kits will allow my students the safety and ability to work in school and at home to be successful.
