Rewarding Growth: Treasure Chest Incentives for Positive Classroom Behavior
Funded Nov 5, 2024The "Rewarding Growth: Treasure Chest Incentives for Positive Classroom Behavior" project has truly transformed the environment and motivation within my classroom. The treasure chest, now filled with exciting incentives, has become more than just a reward system; it's a source of inspiration, pride, and joy that encourages students to set personal goals, show respect, and stay focused.
From the moment they first saw the treasure chest, my students were thrilled and eager to learn how they could earn these special rewards. This anticipation has positively shifted the way they approach classroom expectations and interact with one another.
Looking ahead, we are building on this momentum by introducing a peer-recognition system, where students can nominate each other for rewards based on positive actions and attitudes. This next step will allow them to experience the joy of acknowledging each other's growth and perseverance, fostering a culture of mutual respect and empathy.
Thanks to our generous donors, this project has not only provided tangible rewards but has also cultivated a classroom environment where students are excited to learn, grow, and support each other every day.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Nicholson

Funded Aug 13, 2024This project has significantly enhanced my classroom of Title 1 multilingual learners by providing essential resources that foster engagement, creativity, and academic growth. Here's how these materials have made a difference:
Increased Student Engagement:
The STEAM Bins have provided hands-on learning opportunities, encouraging students to explore science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics through interactive activities. These bins have been particularly valuable for my multilingual learners, as they allow for collaborative, inquiry-based learning, helping students develop problem-solving skills regardless of their language proficiency.
Supporting Language Development through Visual and Interactive Tools:
The Dry Erase Peel and Stick surfaces have transformed the classroom into an interactive space where students can participate in lessons by drawing diagrams, writing answers, and sharing ideas. This visual and kinesthetic approach is especially helpful for multilingual learners, as it supports language development through active participation and visual reinforcement.
Building Confidence and Motivation:
The Classroom Prizes have provided a system of positive reinforcement that motivates students to excel. For multilingual learners, many of whom face additional challenges in language acquisition, these rewards have boosted their confidence by acknowledging their efforts, progress, and good behavior. This has helped create a positive learning environment where students feel encouraged to participate and engage.
Hands-On Learning and Creativity:
Glue sticks and other crafting materials have allowed students to express their creativity through art projects and hands-on activities, which are critical for multilingual learners to demonstrate understanding in ways that transcend language barriers. These activities have encouraged self-expression and helped students build fine motor skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.
Improved Classroom Organization and Access to Basic Tools:
Pencils and other basic materials have ensured that all students, regardless of their socio-economic background, have the tools they need to complete assignments and engage in daily classroom activities. For Title 1 students, who may not have access to these supplies at home, this has removed barriers to learning and allowed them to focus on their academic growth.
Overall, this project has made a measurable impact on my classroom by supporting the academic, social, and emotional needs of Title 1 multilingual learners. It has created an environment where students can thrive, regardless of their language background or economic circumstances.”

Funded May 10, 2023Preparing for the end of the school year can be frustrating to the teacher and the families. During the end of the school year, nine times out of ten students supplies are getting extremely low and/or are worn out. The resources that you donated money to purchase were able to refresh the students much needed supplies. It assisted with continuing education by being prepared with learning materials. My students get excited when they see brand new supplies that they do not have to share. Little things like providing everyday materials.
With your donation, I have been able to continue to motivate students to learn and grow in a safe manner. We appreciate all that you have given and truly hope that you will continue to support our classroom in the future”
