Although I do have a laptop and a phone, having a document camera will greatly enhance my teaching ability for remote learning as well as enhance the learning experiences for students. There are plenty of online resources and fun ways to engage students in remote learning, however, I would like to keep some similar structures and practices in the online format when possible. By using a document camera, I will be able to work live with my students to model annotations, as well as math practices. Document cameras are something that students are accustomed to as they are used within the classroom. Students are may be overwhelmed with all the new ways to learn and submit work, so keeping some things familiar will help to ensure an easier transition to remote learning.
