Pre-K students are busy people! They need to be able to manipulate objects, to explore, and to very literally, be hands on, to learn best. All of our requested items will allow them to physically touch letters or numbers. They will learn to identify letters and letter sounds, identify numbers, and count items with one to one correspondence. Each item will be helping them learn critical pre-reading and math skills.
Each requested item is a high-interest, exciting, motivating tool to promote exploration and mastery of many of our most important Pre-K skills. Every student will want to use these tools! Alpha-bots and number -bots allow the kids to make robots from letters and numbers, improving fine-motor and eye-hand coordination skills as they learn to identify capital letters and numerals. Alphabet and number dough stampers also increase our hand strength, very important to be successful with pencil grasp and writing skills, as we continue to master our letter and number identification skills. The awesome circle time center will allow each child to physically manipulate items as we learn our days and months, count with one to one correspondence, learn about the the weather, and begin simple addition. This center will make being our calendar helper even more exciting than it already is to be that special helper! Mastery of these critical literacy and math skills will help ensure my Pre-K students are successful throughout their school careers and all of the wonderful learning tools we have asked for will ensure they have fun doing it. Thank you so much for your support of my children!
