Snacks, Snacks, Snacks!
Funded Aug 9, 2022Words cannot describe how grateful I am for this donation! It breaks my heart when students do not come to class with a snack. In the past I have done my best to provide a snack but with anywhere from 3-10 kids without a daily snack, that is a pricey ticket for a teacher to pay. I could not have done this without your support!
The kids have enjoyed the fruit snacks, goldfish, pretzels, and animal crackers. It makes me so pleased that we never have any child without an afternoon snack. By this time in our day they are tired and so ready for this much needed break. I am just so happy that this can be offered now, thanks to your help!”

Funded Jul 27, 2022I am so excited about these supplies!
I am most excited about having dry erase markers and erasers. I cannot tell you how frequently we go through these tools. The kids love using them but they often dry out if the cap is not on properly and we use them every day so they eventually dull out. I know the kids are going to love these!
Another thing I am so excited about are the colored ticonderoga pencils! I always do the large pencils to help students with their grip at the beginning of the year, but once I found these color ones I knew it would make the task so much more exciting.
One thing we will all be truly grateful to have are those kleenex. I already have them on backstock and ready to go! Kids are so sweet, but also carry tons of germs. I hope to encourage them to stay healthy as we all adjust to one another!”

Funded Jun 17, 2022How Exciting! This new school year has given us so much to look forward to. As I look around my room and start to prepare for my new group of students, I can't help but feel so grateful.
I started putting togeher student binders this week, where they will have work to contine practicing throughout the year. They start off learning their names, letters, and numbers. I was able to put the sheet protectors in there with things like letter practice so that they can practice daily with a dry erase marker, making it more sustainable for the environment as opposed to printing one and using pencil each day. The laminating sheets have also come in really handy. I began to laminate things that hang in our classroom, and also their name tags where I will write their names as soon as I recieve my class roster!
My favorite thing this year is knowing that my students will have pink crayons! It sounds so simple, but it is the one color always missing from their artwork and will now help them complete their masterpieces. I cannot wait for the kids to get started!”

Funded Jan 31, 2022I have slowly been collecting learning games. I find that when my students can use hands on activities, they learn so much more! I have some old games and some homemade games to, but I have really been trying to fill in some of the gaps that are missing in my game collection.
Math in particular has been an area that I feel our game collection could help us grow academically. Ever since we started using the games the data has shown a significant increase! My students are flourishing in math concepts and ready to take on so much more!
Your donation has allowed my kids to have some flexibility in their learning and also take a break from difficult tasks here and there. Thank you so much!”

We Need More...
Funded Nov 30, 2021My students spend a lot of time using things like dry erase markers, and crayons, We are constantly practicing how to draw and color, as well as write our names and letters.
The students have binders that hold all of their supplies. These binders ensure they can always have access to their crayons, pencils, markers, and erasers. We use these every single day!
We alslo are extremely thankful to have more headphones! Unfortunately, our headphones wear down quickly with the regular usage. We take the best care of them, but even then it can be difficult for 5 year olds to learn responsibility. That is what we work on in kindergarten!
We are just so excited that now we have more of the everyday items we love to use in school. Thank you so much for your donation!”

Funded Dec 1, 2021Having these great materials to help us conquer reading has been so stress free!I am constantly trying to find fun and exciting ways to keep the kids engaged in learning how to read.
The blocks have been a hands-on way for students to work in teams to sound out words and create word families/rhyming words. The sight word cards have also been so supportive in helping me teach. I always struggle to make sure kids are learning their sight words and this year I committed to putting in a lot more effort with that. These cards are not just fun for me to do, but they are also fun for the kids to quiz one another on.
I truly appreciate the donations for learning readers and I can see just how much the kids are growing as readers. It is truly exciting!”

Funded Nov 30, 2021Thank you for your support in getting some great incentives and prizes for my students! I have a prize box they can pick from when they have a great day at school and it clears out so quickly! Your donation has made it so there is more opportunity for prize box.
The kids were so happy when they saw the prizes that they could earn. Anything that glows cathces their eye as well as any type of fidget toy. Because of these prizes, they have been working extra hard to earn an item of their choice.
We have just implemented a new classroom reward system called "secret student". This just means that each day I pick 1-2 students at the beginning of the day to be our secret student. If they do a great job they can pull from our prize box and get to tell their parents! The kids and I are loving this system because it helps keep the focus on learning, as well as excites the kids to earn something fun! We are having so much fun and really appreciate the support!”

Funded Oct 17, 2021Thank you for providing the resources to purchase a class set of water bottles and stickers incentives to go with! My students were so excited to receive these! They couldn't wait for me to wash them and give them out.
Each student in my classroom recieved a water bottle with their name on it and they picked out a unique sticker for their water bottle to know it is theirs. They place it in their cubby at the end of each day, and then put it on their desk for daily use. Having these water bottles has cut down on distractions and students not having to leave learning time for a drink of water. We are all extremely grateful!”

Funded Aug 12, 2021These tools have been so extremely helpful in getting this teacher organized for the sake of her students. Coming off a long hybrid/covid school year in 2020 made everything in my classroom shift. Now that we are back in full swing with a large group of students and daily classes I have had to reconfigure and organize my classroom to meet those demands again.
The cart has helped me organize my copies for day-to-day student assignments so that I am prepared each week. The markers, acryclic holder, and eraser allows me to easily share information on the white board and keep it clean with each use. Lastly, having the match me game has completed my set of current games we use during groups. Not only do I love having a variety, the kids love using it as another form of learning their letters and sounds.
My students and I are so extremely grateful that we have all these wonderful tools to keep our class nice and clean. The more organized I am, the more prepared I am. The more prepared I am, the less stressed my day is; and the less stressed I feel, the better I can be for my students. These gifts mean so much to us!”

Funded Sep 7, 2021My students are having such a great time using the headphones! We always had a very difficult time storing them and making sure the cords did nto get all knotted up. Having the headhpone "tree" rack has helped kids stay organized and decreased the amounf of time this teacher spends detangling headphone cords. Now I can focus more on teaching and my scholars can be very self-sufficient in caring for their classroom items. Having more headphones has made it possible for all kids to have a set to use when they are working independently on their chromebooks during their group rotations.
When the tree was first put up the kids were very excited. They could not wait to use them! They still get excited that they can take care of class items all on their own without making a mess.
Looking forward, we hope to take good care of these headphones and in the future get some more to make full class set. Until then, I will enjoy the quiet, while the kids enjoy the headphones!”
