Write! Write! Write!
Funded Aug 23, 2024This year we are so excited to get kids writing more. We have been able to make this a major focus in kindergarten and with these composition books we are hoping that using our daily writing skills in a more accessible way. This will allow us to track student growth from the begining of the year until the end of the school year.
The composition whiteboards are also going to come in extremely handy when we are practicing handwriting letters, words, and sentences.
As a kindergarten team, we are able to teach 75 students how to become stronger writers. This is amazing! We could not do this without your support.”

Looking Forward to Next Year!
Funded Apr 16, 2024Your support is so appreciated. At the end of last school year, I was working really hard to get a leg up on all the supplies we would need this school year. I was able to start the year with supplies for all students. Each child got a pouch to put their pencils, crayons, and dry erase tools. This has already allowed us to set up quality routines in the classroom and effectively learn how to take care of our items. I am so excited to see the kids thrive this school year. We already have so much to look forward to as the year begins strong!”

Funded May 7, 2024Thank you so much for all of the support during our last weeks of school. The kindergarten teachers and I worked hard to put together gift bags for the kiddos that had sticky hands and the light bulbs filled with candy. The kids were so excited on their graduation day when they saw those little gift bags. With allthe fun and chaos happening on our last day, we forgot to take pictures of our cute little bags.
The composition books are one of my favorite items to use and with this school year approaching, we cannot wait to bust them out!
Again, we appreciate all of the love and support. I could not do all of this without the help of donorschoose and the amazing donors!”

Funded Feb 26, 2024This project has been so fun! The kids are OBSESSED with these light covers. When they are turned on it gives our room the extra brightness we need to complete tasks, but without the harsh lighting. It looks like you are laying outside on a starry night and creates a great sense of calm in our classroom. The kiddos are always asking for the lights to be on (with the covers) and get so excited to see them. This has been one of the best additions we have ever had in our classroom.
I, as the teacher, also cannot say enough good things about having this great laminator. My old one had run its course and now when I am laminating I don't have to use a paperclip to fix it when it gets jammed or redo lamination due to errors.
Thank you so much for all the exciting gifts and please know how grateful we are. This group of students is doing so great academically and it is in large part to the help we recieve from our donors.”

Whiteboards and Widgets
Funded Oct 29, 2023This has been such a great project. My students are loving the fun incentives and I am loving the whiteboards!
The kids get to pick from our class prize box every Friday if they did a good job with behavior and put in academic effort throughout the school week. They have been working so hard to earn these prizes, which is AMAZING because it helps us focus on school work and less on behaviors.
I am really loving the lined white boards because in the past we ony had the blank side. These new boards allow for students to properly write their letters and words. The kids are also loving this and you can tell they really want to do a good job.
We appreciate the support more than words can describe. I really could not do this alone without the loving support of this great program and the individual people who care about our future.”

Funded Jul 18, 2023I know it seems like such a silly request to always be asking for crayons and pencils, but there is nothing we use more in our classroom. My kids are constantly in need of these items because we use them so frequently. We run down our crayons from so much coloring and although they sometimes get misplaced, they are put to good use. We also use our pencils so much that we are in need of replenishment often.
Our favorite item to use is our dry erase markers. I always prefer the kids use the thin kind since they are learning fine motor skills. This helps me see their work so much better when they are practicing writing their letters and numbers.
I really thank you for all of your support so that we can always have enough of these basic materials.”

Funded Aug 2, 2023Thank you so much for your support! I have a lot of kiddos this year who come to school with no snack. Our lunch is very early this year so by 1pm my kids are asking for a snack and I am so happy that I have one for them! We have been enjoying the pretzels, animal crackers, and fruit loops. A fan favorite is of course the goldfish!
I cannot express my gratitude enough. I always worry that the students have enough to eat througout their day. I am glad they will not have to wait until they get home to enjoy their snack.”

Funded Nov 29, 2022Thank you for supporting this project! As mentioned previously, I will soon be off of work for maternity leave with my first baby. While I am extremely excited, it will be challenging for me to leave my kiddos behind. After this project was funded, I feel so much better about this transition!
We have a ton of wipes and tissue to help the kids stay clean and healthy while I am gone. My hope is that it will last them up until I return! It has been especially helpful during this cold and flu season approaches.
We also have benefited greatly as a class by using fidgets such as the zippers and the chair bands. The kiddos who are a little "busier" have made great use out of them and allowed us to stay more focused on our work as a class.
I am so appreciative for all the kind donations. Thank you!”

Funded Nov 29, 2022No matter how many supplies we have, it feels like there is never enough! Five year olds have a hard time keeping track of their things, and even when they do keep track of their items we stilll run out because we use so many supplies in a day!
We are so glad to have more pencils, dry erase markers, and construction paper! These items help us complete our daily tasks. We use our pencils in almost everything we do which has them running low quickly. These big pencils are especially great for grip while we learn to write. The kids also use their markers each day to write things like letters and math equations. They especially love the construction paper when they build their letter craft for the week.
These items and more have been so helpful in our every day routine and I cannnot say thank you enough!”

Funded Sep 19, 2022This donation has helped me get writing notebooks for all of my students. It has become so much easier to have all of their writing work in one spot rather than doing daily pages or having them stapled and lost.
My kids have recently started their writing journey and are loving it! They love learning how to write and spell new words. They also love drawing their pictures to showcase what they wrote.
We truly appreciate the love and support given to help us acheive their writing goals this school year. I am so grateful!”
