End of the Year Fun
Funded Apr 23, 2021Thank you for the continued support that you are showing me. Without you, I would not be able to provide a lot of the learning opportunities that I have been able to give them. I am forever grateful to know that there are people who care about the work that I am doing as much as I do. Thank you and Aloha!”

Sensory Education
Funded Nov 16, 2020Thank you for your support in helping me create a sensory rich environment for my kiddos in class and distance learning from home. I am better able to provide experiences for them because I have some much needed items to do so.
When we first opened the materials the kids were extremely excited. They have plays with each and every item but the swing, sensory table, and toddler activity table they use every day. Incorporating vestibular stimulation helps my kiddos to regulate their bodies so they can learn. The sensory table helps them have their own compartment for covid times.”

Playing Together Safely!
Funded Aug 30, 2020This was my first project on Donor's Choose. The kids were so excited to get the new toys! Week 1 we opened the sensory frogs, braille ABC tiles and the musical stand. Week 2 we opened the sensory table and the swing. Lastly, the file folders and lamination sheets are for distance learners to participate in sorting, matching, and other educational games.
Week 1: Two of the children loved the sensory frogs and the other two have sensory sensitivity and didn't want to touch them but this is normal for kids who have sensory sensitivity. What is amazing is that with only 4 times exposing the sensitive ones they are increasing their tolerance already. The braille tiles and the musical stand are intended for my child who is blind but all of the kids play with him with the tiles and the stand. This increases socializations on a common interest.
Week 2: The sensory table with separate compartments and the swing were favorites for my group. They loved playing safely together at the tables with water, bubbles, sand, and foam. They also loved the swing because it has a calming effect.
Thanks to you all for donating to my class and Donor's choose for matching the donations, I was able to get items that I needed.”
