Calming Area
Funded Feb 3, 2023Thank you for your generous donation to our classroom Calm Area. My students know that it is a safe place for them to go to when they need to calm down or when need to feel better. The posters, books, mats, fidget toys, stuff animals, cushions, scoop rockers, sensory drip, and timer are helpful in appealing my students to use the area. They know that they can go to the calm area whenever they need to and that only one person can be there. When they feel they are ready to return to their table or carpet to join the class, they do so with a happier mindset--ready to participate, ready to learn, and ready to be part of our classroom community.”

Teachers Pay Teachers Resources
Funded Jan 17, 2022The Teachers Pay Teachers Resources that you helped make possible for my students this year and following years are greatly appreciated. We use the resources daily for classwork, for homework, for tutoring and for intervention support. The resources are both digital and printables. Most of the resources are printed on cardstock, laminated, and than used in the classroom for whole group, small group, pairs, one-to-one tutoring, and independent practice. The digital resources are uploaded onto my Seesaw platform for students to access from home. These resources are fun, educational, can be used with multisensory objects, and reach all learners. My students have enjoyed learning using these resources and have gained much confidence and independence in all the subject areas because of them. Thank you.”

Funded Nov 10, 2021With the books that was generously donated by you, I was able to read the stories within the "SELF" social-emotional curriculum. We learned book parts, reading for understanding, vocabularies, and also use the experiences of the characters to discuss how to learn about feelings and problem-solve. In Kindergarten, children learn that everyone experiences a variety of emotions. They have opportunities to talk about how they might express their emotions, learn how to recognize how others feel (empathy), and discuss how to make choices that lead to consequences they like.
Each story we read is interactive, in which we delve deeply into and have thoughtful discussion about. Through these books students learn about self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship management, and responsible decision-making. Furthermore, the books are fun, engaging, with colorful and detailed illustrations, and appropriate for our kinder students.”

Funded Sep 30, 2021Thank you for the materials for "Let's Build!" My students cannot have enough of it. They interact more, talk more, followed rules for sharing and taking turns, work together more as a team, and they let their creativity and thinking shine. They enjoy constructively and meaningfully building, explaining about how they build it and why they build it that way, what the function is, and who they worked with. I allow them to take a photo of their work and that added an extra motivation for them. Thank you for making learning so much fun!”

Sensory Writing With a Touch Board
Funded Aug 13, 2021The Touch Boards is a novel tool that instantly caught my students' attention and interest. They love using hands-on, tactile, and eye-catching materials. We use the touch boards to practice writing letters, numbers, words, and lines. Students also like writing their names on the touch board. The board requires pressing firmly down with their finger. This strengthens their fingers and retains their memory of the letter formation, number formation, and line strokes. With the Touch Boards, students need no other materials. This makes it easier for them to bring their boards to 1-1, small group, or whole group work with minimal time wasted searching for materials or need for erasing. Each student has a board in their desk for quick and easy access. Because of your generous donation, each student has a board of their own. The students love their boards and take very good care of them.”

Funded Jul 31, 2021Now I Know By ABC's materials (letter lacing beads, letter snap cubes, letter magnetic tiles, and jumbo magnetic letters, and all the alphabet centers) are a great hit in my class. Students are enthusiastic about learning their uppercase and lowercase letters using these hands-on, engaging, and fun learning tools. We use the materials daily during literacy center time for 45 minutes. Students behave well and follow the rules to get, use, and put back materials where they belong. They are always excited when it comes time to use the materials. Many students have learned all the letters and those who haven't learned all the learners have learned more than they started out with. We will be using these same materials to build builds. The students and I look forward to keep using these sturdy highly educational materials to continue our learning of letter knowledge and building vc and cvc words.”

Funded Aug 9, 2020My students and I thank you for your profound generosity and care in getting us the technology we need to improve distant learning. Teaching remotely is hard, especially trying to fully engage the youngest students. But with the document camera that you helped fund, this difficult task is achievable. We will make the most use out of it learning virtually from home and as well as when we return to the classroom physically. Donors like you are our superheroes.
You give us hope and tangible resources that we can use to teach and learn better. We can't thank you enough.”
