Our Guitar class does not have a classroom set of guitars. Each student is required to purchase their own instrument and supplies needed to be successful in class. We have some lower income families in our area and every year we always have a handful of students borrowing instruments from friends or family members. If the student nor I am not able to obtain an instrument, the end result is those students dropping the class from their schedule. This year the pandemic has had a huge effect on the students. Parents and guardians have lost their jobs, families are struggling to stay afloat. These children will not be able to get an instrument to stay in our class. I would like to build a classroom set of guitars to free some stress for these families in need. Students would be able to utilize these instruments in class as well as at home during our online instruction.
