  • Incentives for Good Choices!

    Funded Aug 10, 2024

The snacks and stickers you sent have provided great motivation for my students to earn their daily points. The students are enjoying the variety they have to choose from when they spend their "money" at our classroom "store".

The train books have been helpful for my students to use when they're on a break. They enjoy reading all about trains and discussing different train related topics.

The Uno cards have been helpful to us on our Fun Fridays! It is a great game to play for social interactions.

We are grateful to you for choosing to donate to our classroom! Thank you so much!!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Coleman

  • Motivational Classroom = Successful Students!

    Funded Aug 7, 2023

The materials provided in this donors choose are used in my classroom store. I use the items to motivate my students to make good choice. My students have behavioral challenges and having tangible items to work for motivates them to make positive choices throughout the day. The stools are used as flexible seating for my students with hyperactivity. I use the organizer to keep my materials neat to enhance the learning environment.

My students are thrilled by the materials and behavior has been decreased due to the motivation.

    We cannot thank you enough!”

  • Ending the Year Like a Rock Star!

    Funded Mar 30, 2023

The materials you supplied for the classroom have made a huge difference! The students love to play at the kitchen. They also love to dress up with the community workers vests. They promote socialization and learning that can't be taught, they're learning through play! The paints and puzzles are also a big hit! They allow creativity and a quiet activity for the students to do at their desk. This has helped motivate them to finish the year like a rock star! We are so blessed by your donations and we love everything you provided.”

    Mrs. Coleman

  • Books for Everyone!

    Funded Mar 30, 2023

The books you donated to our class will help them grow their social emotional learning. By using the books to learn to accept no, consequences or how to deal with angry emotions, the students will be able to learn these things in a way that they understand. They were excited that the books were about a dragon!

They can also learn about differences in abilities with the book about Autism. Some students can see themselves in the book with the same disabilities. This is a powerful thing and they enjoy learning about different abilities and themselves.

The students who have trouble handling books due to the nature of their disability, thoroughly enjoy the indestructible books! They can handle them without fear of ripping them! They loved to enjoy books like the rest of their friends.

Words cannot express their gratitude or mine! Thank you so much!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Coleman

  • Life Skills Classroom Essentials

    Funded Sep 13, 2021

My students are using the items you bought for them daily! They love the sensory toys and PlayDoh so much they work just to play with them! I love seeing their imaginations come to life as they play with the toys!

I am also using the materials bought to aid in organization for my room daily! It has helped create space for items and get paperwork in order!

Your contributions are noticed, appreciated and utilized every day! I am overwhelmed by your generosity and my students are too!

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you!”

  • Today a Reader, Tomorrow a Leader!

    Funded Mar 2, 2021

Words cannot express the gratitude that I have for y'all. Your donations gave my students books that were at their level to increase their confidence as readers. It can be hard as a teacher to watch students struggle, especially when it comes to a skill like reading. How ever, after receiving these books, my students were excited to read and sad when it was time to put the books away. The Elephant and Piggie books were a huge hit! They made my students laugh and that warmed my heart. You have forever changed the life of my students and made reading enjoyable, so from the bottom of all our hearts, THANK YOU!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Coleman

  • Alternative and Flexible Seating

    Funded Sep 24, 2020

My students are extremely grateful for your generous donations. They have been utilizing all of the flexible seating options to enhance their learning.

My students are able to use one of the options for flexible seating (bounce ball, bean bag, or seat disc) during instruction in my classroom. They also utilize the rug and pillow in my "calm down" area when necessary. They are very respectful when using the materials and are more focused when they use them.

When my students first saw the materials they were excited to use them. They were very happy to have alternative seating options. They ask on a daily basis if flexible seating is an option for them.

As we prepare for the second half of the school year, these materials have already impacted my students in a positive way, and I am looking forward to seeing much more improvements from them because of your generous contributions to the flexible seating in my classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Coleman

Alternative seating is going to hugely benefit the students in my resource room. It allows the students to choose where and how they'd like to do their work. Giving them choices such as bean bag chairs, seat cushions, laying on a rug with pillows or balance balls will allow them to be in control of their environment and allows them to succeed at their academics. Having the different textures and seating positions gets their bodies ready to activate their brains. Having flexible seating options is also important so the students can meet their sensory needs.
