I am requesting a pencil sharpener so my students don't have to share supplies and an amazing sketchbook for each student to keep all their art creations from the 2020 - 2021 year. Because our school is utilizing a hybrid model, students will travel back and forth to school with their sketchbooks and basic supplies. We will be house-ing our plans, skills, and masterpieces in our sketchbooks while fostering our identities as creators with these materials for which they will be responsible. "Art is a form of healing and recovery, and provides solace and therapy during times of stress. It helps safeguard mental and spiritual health, and reduce barriers between people, cultures and languages." Students will be empowered to have their own sketchbooks and a place to engage their creative process through ideas, planning, implementing, critique and final products.
