  • Sharpshooting Skills for Sharp Kids

    I am so pleased to inform you that our student athletes are so excited to use the materials that you purchased for us. We are in our second month of the basketball season and I can already tell the difference of the students and their shooting abilities.

    Every practice we are using at least two items that was purchased with your generousity. The biggest change has been for some of our taller players. In the past the tallest plater would just be able to shoot over the top of some of the others. With the purchase of the materials that you provided, he is able to shoot and work on shooting over people.”

  • Safe, Socially Distanced, and Ready to Learn!

    I am overwhelmed with the show of support and care for my students. In a school year of uncertainty, this project has been a very bright spot for me and my students.

    You would have thought it was Christmas morning when all of the boxes were delivered. The students were excited for their new furniture. I was lucky enough to have my husband help put them together shortly after delivery. The students were so happy to come in and see the desks put together and ready to go!

    These furniture pieces have allowed us to keep a safe distance away from each other. Since I teach special education, small group teaching is essential. These furniture items allow us to keep a safe distance apart and learn at the same time. It is because of you, the generous donors, that 'one more thing' is taken off of my plate. I am ever so grateful.

    I am so thankful for the support for my students and myself in the classroom. I am humbled and extremely appreciative for your support. I was apprehensive about putting a project like this out for people, but I am so glad that I did. Thank you for making this possible.”

Five, six, seven, and eight year old students love to be active, especially when learning. With the recent restrictions on classrooms and keeping safe distances from each other, room arrangement is a challenge. My current classroom has me eliminating desks and using tables to keep them socially distanced to keep them safe from spreading germs to one another. Thankfully, I had a colleague share an Alphabetter desk with me. This desk will work fantastic with my kids to keep their feet active while keeping their hands moving for learning. This will be extremely helpful to keep kindergarten, first, and second graders engaged. Currently we have four wobble chairs in my classroom, but that leaves some of my students left out. To a five year old, that can be devastating. The wobble chairs will allow all of my students to be able to move around while working their core torso muscles. These will help with academic and physical gains for my students.
