My students with special needs learn best in a 1:1 or small group setting. We typically sit at a work table together for direct instruction and written work completion. Work is graded as completed and then corrected. If necessary we re-teach the lesson at that time. Each group is in close physical proximity. Social distancing (even with masks) will make this type of instruction impossible in the resource room. Plexi-glass shields (coupled with masks) will help us be close to our students while keeping all people in the group away from as many germs as possible.
