Carpet time is a huge part of first grade! We come to the carpet as a safe place to sit and learn. Unfortunately, we don't have a carpet in our classroom, and my little scholars are often sitting uncomfortably on the ground, and often accidentally in their neighbor's space.
With this classroom carpet, my students will be able to sit more comfortably during our carpet time, and have their own secure space that they can feel empowered by.
I have used stick-on carpet spots in the past to help provide a decent distance between sitting spots for my students, however, they do nothing for comfortability, and they are easily detached.
I have students often complaining about their bottoms hurting from sitting on the hard floor throughout the day, and it pulls their attention away from the lesson when they are focused on trying to sit comfortably. Please help my students to be able to think about what they are learning during carpet time, not their sore bottoms!
