Shortly after the school year started, I realized, this year's kiddos haven't had much interaction with children their age. Instead of being introduced to classroom procedures and how to interact with peers, their preschool years (2020-2021) were mostly spent at home. Coming to kindergarten was one of their first experiences playing and talking with many children their age. Kindness is key in Kindergarten! These books are a doorway to "kindness conversations," providing opportunities for students to think critically about being kind and respectful, with hopes of students using this knowledge in all their decisions.
