My fellow 7th grade ELA teacher and I have been coming into work over the summer to work with an awesome company, Literacy for Learning, LLC. to develop an amazing unit of study in which our students will read The Man Who Loved Clowns. This novel will help our students develop empathy as they read about a man with Down Syndrome to frame our discussion about themes in novels, and of course, life in general. If you would consider donating just the cost of one book to our campaign (7 dollars) then you could help us start this year successfully. It is so important that we provide our students with physical materials this year since we are beginning this journey of working from home and many of our students may have limited internet access.
