The goal of this project is to provide materials for students to access learning from home successfully. Hopefully, we won’t be at home too long, but I am hoping to make being at home a much smoother process for students and their families than it was in the Spring!
These materials won’t just benefit students at home, but will make the transition back to the classroom, albeit full- or part-time smooth.
Kids thrive with organization and to know that they are cared for. I am looking forward to making these at home care packages for my students so they feel excited about a new school year, despite their situations.
By supporting this project, each student will receive a magazine holder to store their work that they can bring back to the classroom with them, a pencil box to store materials including scissors, colored pencils, protractors, etc, and a pencil sharpener to use at home. Student will also receive a dry-erase project which will support learning on Zoom. In the spring I found that my students were always searching for scratch paper to show thinking on. This will allow students to use and reuse their dry erase projects to support their understanding of content.
